As a key member of the Future of Journalism program, you will co-design and lead state-level campaigns to protect and expand civic media across the U.S. This role anchors organizing efforts, cultivates diverse coalitions, and mobilizes our national network to advocate for policies that ensure equitable access to trustworthy news and information. You will track legislation, build and manage partnerships, craft compelling public narratives, and represent Free Press in public forums. Ideal candidates will bring at least four years of experience in multi-state legislative campaigns, coalition management, and grassroots organizing, along with a demonstrated commitment to racial equity, collaboration, and media justice. Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to foster relationships across communities are essential.
