Common Ground Journalism Student Cohort -Common Ground USA (Search for Common Ground) [Apply by Jan 22!]

Common Ground USA invites current undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in journalism programs or contributing to campus media publications to apply for the Common Ground Journalism cohort, a program supporting student journalists reporting in contentious times. Selected participants (maximum 25) will attend six 90-minute virtual sessions with national and international journalists and peacebuilders, receive a $200 stipend and certificate, and have the opportunity to publish work in The Fulcrum or Latino News Network. Applicants must be able to attend at least 5 of 6 sessions scheduled February 3 - March 17, 2026. Application requires essays, article samples, and reflections on campus journalism challenges. Application deadline: January 22, 2026 (11:59pm ET). Decisions announced by January 27, 2026.
