Position Overview:
American Councils for International Education seeks Civics Instructors to lead interactive workshops for international high school exchange students participating in U.S. Department of State–funded programs. Instructors will guide groups of 20–25 students through engaging lessons on U.S. history, government, and civic engagement, held in classrooms and at key Washington, D.C. landmarks. This role requires dynamic educators who can foster cross-cultural understanding and present material in a nonpartisan manner.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in political science, international relations, history, government, education, or a related field, and possess strong knowledge of U.S. history and current events. Experience teaching or facilitating group learning is essential. Training will take place December 10–12, 2025, followed by workshops scheduled between December 2025 and March 2026.
