The Director of Programming at The Viewpoints Project will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling the organization’s efforts to foster “curious disagreement” across educational settings. Working closely with the Executive Director, the Director will oversee the flagship Viewpoints Fellowship — from planning the annual retreat to supporting mentors and fellows throughout the year — while also adapting programming for middle and high schools. This position combines program management, partnership development, and impact storytelling through data and grantwriting. The ideal candidate is a proactive, mission-driven leader with strong organizational, communication, and evaluation skills, eager to help a growing nonprofit expand its national reach and deepen its impact.

Position Overview:
The Viewpoints Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fostering “curious disagreement” in education, seeks a Director of Programming to serve as the Executive Director’s key collaborator. This dynamic role blends program management, partnership development, and impact storytelling through data and grant applications.

The Director will oversee the Viewpoints Fellowship — a year-long, peer-led program for college leaders — including the annual retreat, mentorship support, and ongoing fellowship growth. They will also adapt “curious disagreement” programming for K–12 initiatives and strengthen systems for evaluating and communicating organizational impact.

Ideal candidates are proactive, collaborative, and skilled in nonprofit or educational program management, with strong writing, evaluation, and storytelling abilities. Experience in grant writing and program evaluation is strongly preferred.
