Position Overview:
The Donor Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Development team’s efforts to cultivate and strengthen relationships with the organization’s philanthropic contributors. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this position will ensure donors understand the impact of their giving and feel valued as partners in advancing the mission of Citizens & Scholars.

This role combines strategic communication, relationship-building, and stewardship responsibilities, including managing donor reports, creating communications and video content, coordinating events, and supporting CRM systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in nonprofit fund development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams while thriving in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain donor stewardship materials, communications, and acknowledgment letters.
• Coordinate regular donor interactions, including calls, handwritten notes, and virtual engagement events.
• Plan and produce compelling video content to highlight the organization’s impact.
• Support and track donor engagement using CRM systems and ensure timely reporting.
• Assist with special events such as “Salon” dinners, donor webinars, and virtual gatherings.
• Contribute to the development and consistent use of fundraising systems and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in nonprofit fund development or equivalent.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM preferred.
• Ability to travel to Princeton, NJ two to four times annually.
