​The Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard University seeks an Executive Director to lead the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative, which strengthens the capabilities of mayors and senior city officials worldwide through executive education, applied learning, and alumni programming. This strategic leadership role oversees a team of approximately 20 professional staff across program delivery, city support, and curriculum development, managing 12 annual executive programs, 4 alumni programs, and applied learning tracks. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience (preferably in or closely with city government), proven success leading large multifaceted programs in the public sector, a strong understanding of city governance, and demonstrated ability to navigate complex institutional partnerships with sound judgment and professionalism.
