The role involves managing and coordinating schedules, booking meetings and events, preparing materials including agendas, handouts, slide decks, talking points, and briefing memos, taking notes at meetings and preparing follow-up task lists, serving as point of contact for the legal department, conducting online research using academic and legal databases, cite checking, fact checking, and copyediting legal briefs and documents, drafting correspondence and memos, maintaining file systems and work stream trackers, and assisting with production and service of legal filings. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree, up to 2 years of equivalent work experience, strong research, writing, and editing skills, excellent organizational and administrative skills, ability to work independently and under pressure, sound judgment with confidential information, and willingness to travel approximately 15%. Experience working on election, voting, and state government issues is preferred.
