Position Overview:
The SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Managing Director to advance its mission of strengthening global democracy through inclusive dialogue, civic engagement, and collaborative research. Rooted in the spirit of the ancient agora—a place of open exchange and participatory governance—SNF Agora convenes scholars, practitioners, and the public to explore and implement real-world solutions for democratic renewal.

Reporting directly to the Institute Director, the Managing Director will oversee strategic planning and implementation, manage day-to-day operations, support faculty initiatives, and steward key partnerships across academia, government, philanthropy, and civil society. This role is central to translating research into action, cultivating diverse networks, and fostering organizational alignment with SNF Agora’s democratic values.
