This role will guide DA’s political programs, analyze electoral trends, engage donors, and build relationships across the political ecosystem to advance progressive priorities. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in campaign infrastructure, grassroots powerbuilding, or political strategy, with strong communication skills, political judgment, and the ability to move resources effectively. This full-time, remote position (NYC/DC preferred) offers $125,000–$140,000 and a generous benefits package.

Position Overview:
The Democracy Alliance is seeking a seasoned political strategist to serve as Program Director: Elections and Politics. In this role, you will lead DA’s political programs, provide strategic analysis, develop key relationships across the political ecosystem, and deepen donor understanding of the electoral landscape. You will design and lead donor engagement efforts, convene partners, and guide rapid response strategies to advance progressive political goals, including grassroots congressional accountability and efforts to win the House in 2026.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in political or campaign infrastructure, grassroots powerbuilding, and campaign finance, with deep knowledge of federal and state political landscapes. Strong communication skills, political judgment, and the ability to build consensus and engage donors effectively are essential.

​This position reports to the Executive Vice President and works closely with the President and key external partners.
