The role involves implementing multi-pronged strategic campaigns to influence key political and civic leaders, maintaining cross-partisan coalitions, strengthening partnerships with grassroots groups and advocacy organizations, developing legislative or regulatory advocacy plans including model policy and bill language, working with state agency leaders and lawmakers to advance policy reforms, and representing the organization on state-based issues. Candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant experience including capacity to build relationships across the political spectrum, experience designing and leading policy campaigns at federal or state level, excellent collaborative and organizational skills, strong knowledge of Wisconsin's political environment, and commitment to nonpartisan democracy work.
