Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the VP will lead CDI’s messaging, media relations, and thought leadership—helping to expand the organization’s reach and impact at a time of urgent need for dialogue across differences. This hands-on role will focus on crafting and refining CDI’s strategic positioning, developing a comprehensive media and content strategy, cultivating strong relationships with journalists and allied organizations, and ensuring consistent and compelling communications across platforms. The VP will also guide and train a bench of CDI spokespeople, strengthening the organization’s voice in national conversations. The ideal candidate brings 10–12 years of experience in communications, public affairs, or PR (especially in politically sensitive environments), a proven ability to translate complex ideas into compelling stories, and a deep commitment to fostering dialogue, equity, and collaboration. Candidates should be visionary yet detail-oriented, highly collaborative, and aligned with CDI’s mission of equipping the next generation to bridge divides and create lasting organizational change.
