The role involves designing workshops and facilitating interactive conversations about challenging topics, presenting to groups of varying sizes, working closely with the Center's national fellows program, including leading monthly virtual meetings and providing feedback on projects, conducting outreach and networking with nonprofits and higher education groups, and representing the Center at conferences and events. Candidates should have a deep interest in and familiarity with the First Amendment and academic freedom principles, recent trends around expression rights on college campuses, threats to higher education from legislators, experience designing workshops and presenting complex principles accessibly, experience writing or editing academic publications, and strong communication and project management skills.
