Position Overview: The Center for Tech and Civic Life seeks a Development Director to build on the organization's successful fundraising history by establishing new systems and building relationships to support its mission of catalyzing excellent election administration across the United States. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer and working closely with the CEO, COO, and Leadership Team, the role involves contributing to a multi-organizational fundraising strategy, managing a portfolio of donors and foundations, soliciting major gifts ($100k+), writing grant proposals, tracking and leading virtual and in-person donor meetings, supporting others' fundraising efforts, managing internal donor management systems and grant calendars, and serving on the leadership team. Candidates should have nonprofit development leadership experience with successful fundraising strategy execution, major gift solicitation, and grant management, impactful communication skills, including nonpartisan messaging and relationship building, mission-driven initiative and project management abilities, and commitment to democracy and excellent election administration.
