GovAct seeks a Managing Director to lead Governors Safeguarding Democracy, a Governor-led alliance co-chaired by Governors Pritzker and Polis that coordinates cross-state policy and legal strategies to protect democratic institutions. The role oversees strategic planning, alliance management, Governors' Office relationships, policy and legal workstreams, external partnerships, and fundraising in close coordination with GovAct leadership. Candidates should bring 10–15 years of experience in government, law, policy, or advocacy, with essential experience working in or for Governors' Offices or other executive branch settings. A graduate degree in law, public policy, or public administration is strongly preferred; applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
