Program Associate | Governors Action Alliance (GovAct) | $70,000–$80,000

Governors Action Alliance (GovAct) is seeking a Program Associate to support Governors Safeguarding Democracy, a Governor-led alliance co-chaired by Governors JB Pritzker and Jared Polis that helps states collaborate on policy to protect democratic institutions. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Associate will provide administrative, research, communications, and project management support, including managing calendars and travel, drafting memos and communications, coordinating with stakeholders and funders, and supporting database management and in-person events. The role calls for 3 to 5 years of experience in nonprofits, government, law, policy, or communications, strong organizational and writing skills, and familiarity with public policy or state government preferred; a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. The position pays $70,000 to $80,000 annually, is remote with the option of hybrid work in Washington, D.C., or the San Francisco Bay Area, and applications are considered on a rolling basis.
