Ismael Cordová-Clough is a dedicated leader who strongly focuses on advancing equity and promoting systemic change, particularly for marginalized communities. He is committed to creating positive social impact with experience in strategic communications, community engagement, and coalition-building. Ismael’s approach relies on collaboration and data-informed strategies to enhance inclusivity, build stakeholder partnerships, and improve program outcomes. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) at Northwestern University, as he plans to amplify his skillset and background in nonprofit and government sectors to supports his ability to provide thoughtful insights and effective community engagement. Ismael has held leadership positions across the senior living and healthcare sectors. Notably, he contributed to the expansion of Greater Family Health, which improved health access and outcomes across 422 municipalities and increased program participation by 30%. His expertise in data analytics, digital marketing, and stakeholder management allows him to implement strategies that drive meaningful results. A passionate advocate for civic engagement, Ismael has served in several volunteer leadership roles, including on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee for AgeGuild Illinois, the Civilian Review Board Selection Committee for the City of Elgin, and as Vice Chair of the City of Elgin’s Human Relations Commission. His commitment to public service has been recognized through various awards. In his current role at NCDD, Ismael is focused on refining communication strategies to support inclusive decision-making and promote meaningful dialogue. He aims to empower communities by elevating diverse voices and fostering collaboration that leads to lasting change. Role and Responsibilities: In his new role as NCDD’s Communications Coordinator, Ismael will be responsible for managing NCDD's communications; including the NCDD News Blog, our Job-Internship Board, Resource Center, all our social media platforms, and monthly newsletter. He will be working closely with Executive Director Keiva Hummel to further build the NCDD network and strengthen the coalition.
