At NCDD, we know that the heart of our work lies in the people—facilitators, organizers, educators, and connectors—who make dialogue and deliberation possible every day. To honor that, we’re excited to launch Dialogue Spotlights, a monthly feature that highlights the inspiring contributions, milestones, and meaningful moments happening across our network. Each month, we’ll shine a light on shout-outs submitted by NCDD members—recognizing peers, colleagues, and fellow changemakers who are creating impact in their communities and within their organizations. What’s a Spotlight?A Spotlight can celebrate:
Sample Spotlights (Fictional Examples)To give you an idea of what we’ll be sharing, here are a few fictional examples created for illustration: Example: Jordan M. at the Center for Community Voice Jordan recently facilitated a multilingual community forum on housing equity that brought together over 120 residents. One participant said, “This was the first time I felt like I had a voice in local policy.” Jordan’s care and clarity created real connection. Example: Dr. Priya Shah of DialogueWorks Priya was recently promoted to Director of Training after launching a new facilitation model rooted in equity and accessibility. Her colleagues describe her as “transformative and generous.” Congratulations, Priya! Example: Samuel O. at YouthBridge After connecting with a fellow NCDD member at last year’s conference, Samuel co-authored an article on intergenerational dialogue that was just published in a national journal. That’s what community collaboration looks like! Nominate Someone for a SpotlightHave someone you’d like to recognize? Submit a short shout-out through the form below.
