We’re excited to announce that NCDD is launching our 2025 Network Survey to help shape the future of our community and its initiatives. We ask that responses be submitted by May 31st, 2025, as your feedback will be key in guiding our next steps.

Gathering Insights for Strategic Growth

After our recent strategic planning sessions, we are seeking input from our members, friends, and the wider community of dialogue and deliberation practitioners to guide the next phase of NCDD’s development.

The survey, titled Shaping the Future of NCDD: Insights for Action, aims to gather your feedback so we can inform our programming, identify new opportunities for strengthening the dialogue and deliberation ecosystem, and ensure our coalition remains a valuable space for collaboration, learning, and growth.

May 31st Response Deadline

We encourage all members and friends of NCDD to complete the brief five-minute survey before the May 31st deadline to ensure your voice is heard in this important process.

Addressing Current Challenges in the Field

This survey comes at a critical time when dialogue practitioners face numerous challenges, including polarized political environments, funding constraints, and questions about demonstrating impact. By gathering data on these challenges, we hope to develop resources and programming that address your most pressing needs.

The survey will explore your initial motivations for joining NCDD, the unique value we bring to your work, your current dialogue and deliberation practices, and your support needs moving forward.

Building on a Legacy of Community Support

We’ve long been recognized for fostering a supportive community of dialogue and deliberation practitioners. As one longstanding member shared: “Ever since attending the 2012 NCDD conference in Seattle, I’ve found the NCDD to be a welcoming community of practitioners, one dedicated to reciprocal learning and mutual support for the practice of dialogue and deliberation. The focus on mutuality and shared learning within the NCDD is something that is hard to find elsewhere.”

This sentiment reflects what we want to maintain and strengthen as we evolve to meet new challenges in the field.

Looking to the Future

The survey will also ask about your interest in future involvement with NCDD—whether that means hosting or facilitating events, contributing content, joining task forces, or offering mentorship to emerging practitioners. Additionally, we’re seeking input on potential collaborations and partnerships with other organizations to help expand NCDD’s reach and impact.
