With a storied, 40-year history supporting communities, colleges, libraries, workplaces, and government in using deliberation to address public problems, NIFI has strong connections in its work. The model of deliberation NIFI innovated is the most widely used and empirically proven model of deliberation. The NIFI Board of Directors is seeking a qualified Executive Director capable of leading NIFI to national and international prominence. The Executive Director will be the chief executive of the foundation, driving the execution of the strategic plan, pursuing competitive and donor-driven funding, developing the foundation’s network of practitioners and scholars, while also managing a collection of staff and independent contractors. Pushing NIFI into new territory while also being responsive to current trends in the field, the executive director will be the public face of the foundation and of NIFI’s model of deliberation. This is a full time 40 hour per week position. While NIFI is headquartered in Dayton, OH, this is a fully remote position. Candidates must reside in the United States and possess a US drivers license.
