It is February 2024, and NCDD is asking our friends and followers to show us some love! At NCDD, we are more than just a network – we are a movement. We serve as a vibrant nexus, a beacon of hope, and a catalyst for transformation. Our mission is clear: to bring people together across all boundaries – political, social, and cultural – to engage in dialogue, deliberate thoughtfully, and forge solutions that work for all. The NCDD Board of Directors have offered to match your donations in this final week of February, up to $2024 (see what we did there?). This quick match campaign will help give us a lift as we move into March, and we have a lot in store. NCDD has kicked off 2024 with lots of activity:
At NCDD, we provide the stage for members of the dialogue and deliberation community to shine, share, and soar. Together, we are more than the sum of our parts. Join us on this exhilarating journey of possibility and potential. Can you donate $24 today to honor this future we want to build? Your donations over the next week will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $2024. Show us you are a part of this movement by making a donation today! Here is what some of our members have to say about the importance of supporting NCDD: We all need a home--a place of mutual support where we can restore ourselves. For the democracy-building practices of dialogue and deliberation, the NCDD has been that sort of home. Let’s join together to take care of this home and make sure it offers a place to gather and learn together for another generation--and generations to come. The work we do in dialogue and deliberation can be daunting, draining, even demoralizing. In those moments, and in the moments of triumph, NCDD has been there--offering community, opportunity, education, resources, and support in a way that almost no organization has done. We know we need more of our work to happen--and for that to happen, we need a thriving NCDD to lead the way. Tell us you are on board - and double your impact with a donation today. Together, let's build a future where dialogue and deliberation are not just ideals, but the beating heart of democracy itself. Friendly reminder! Join us tomorrow, February 14th, for our upcoming webinar, Honing Facilitative Leadership Competencies, happening from 3:00-4:30 pm Eastern/Noon-1:30pm Pacific. This event is the first in our special series of webinars focused on skill building and topics of interest. Come learn important new skills and how you support this capacity building in communities and beyond. Register ASAP to join us and learn more in the post below. These groups are intended to provide our members with focused opportunities to connect, collaborate, build capacity, and invest in our shared coalition. Current NCDD Working Groups A number of potential focus areas were suggested at the 2023 conference.
