AllSides, a nonpartisan organization dedicated to helping Americans engage across difference, is hosting a National Roundtable on the American Dream the week of August 10–15, 2026 — a series of free, structured online small-group conversations where participants from diverse backgrounds discuss opportunity, security, personal finances, and the futures they are working toward. Using AllSides' Roundtable format of four to six participants guided by an integrated conversation structure, the event is designed to foster genuine listening and mutual understanding across experiential and political divides, with anonymized insights contributing to a national report. Multiple session times are available daily throughout the week, accessible through any standard web browser with no special software required. This event directly advances NCDD's mission by modeling accessible, structured dialogue across difference and inviting broad public participation in a national conversation about shared aspirations and divergent realities.

What does the American Dream mean to you — and how does it look from where someone else is standing? AllSides, a nonpartisan organization known for its work helping people engage across political and experiential divides, is hosting a National Roundtable on the American Dream the week of August 10–15, 2026. The event brings together Americans from different backgrounds and walks of life for structured online small-group conversations about opportunity, security, success, personal finances, and the futures people are working to build. Participants join groups of four to six people for sessions lasting roughly 60 to 90 minutes, guided by an integrated conversation structure that helps everyone listen and be heard. The conversations focus on lived experience — how people are pursuing their goals, navigating challenges, and making decisions about work, family, money, and the future — rather than abstract political positions. Multiple session times are available each day across the full week, from early morning to midday Pacific time, making participation accessible across time zones and schedules. After the event, participants receive a report on what their group discussed alongside what other groups across the country discovered — a design that connects individual conversations to a national picture. Anonymized insights from the roundtables will also inform a broader national report.
