![]() Interactivity Foundation’s “How Do We Find Social Connection?” is a facilitation guide that addresses big questions facing society today regarding social connections and disconnections. The guide includes five discussions and each discussion surrounds a short film that is provided for participants to discuss. Participants will watch the respective films and then discuss individual views, societal issues brought up in the film, and how each individual might address these issues. Each discussion consists of three sections (a round-robin discussion, an open discussion, and a wrap-up section) with questions that encourage perspective sharing and collaboration. There is also link available where facilitators and participants can fill out a form to share feedback on the resource. Read more in the post below. Read more about the issue guide... In this film & conversation series, we will collaboratively explore social connections and disconnections. Each discussion in the series focuses on a different film and with questions for discussion on each one, moving from personal reflections to societal implications about the themes addressed in each film. About the Interactivity Foundation (IF): We are the Interactivity Foundation, a non-advocacy and non-partisan operating foundation. We are commonly abbreviated as “IF” in part to convey the core motif of exploring possibilities, to ask, “what if…?” IF has been strengthening democracy through discussion for decades by bringing people together around emerging issues of shared public concern. We bring people together in meaningful discussions that expand imagination, build social trust, and improve discussion skills necessary for everyday democracy. Our discussion design and resources empower people to practice democratic discussions in communities, classrooms, and workplaces. We envision a future where all people have the opportunity and discussion skills to come together to explore emerging concerns for the purpose of co-imagining pathways forward. ![]()
