The events focused on connecting practitioners, community leaders and public managers, to tap into local knowledge and innovations and to help build capacity in public engagement. Reviews of the events were very positive, with comments like “the people and conversations here have been amazing!” (Boston), “it reenergizes me to get together with people passionate about this work” (Denver), and “I was totally impressed with the commitment and capabilities of these NCDD professionals and government administrators” (NorCal).
Click on the city names above to see materials from each of the events (photos, session notes, attendee blog posts, etc.). We especially encourage you to download the Austin Team’s fantastic Event Report, which includes some must-see resources created by team members for the event. You can also see the lists of attendees by looking over the Eventbrite registration pages.

Download NCDD’s Resource Guide to Public EngagementAttendees of the regional events received a gorgeous printed version of our brand-new Resource Guide on Public Engagement. The resource guide showcases NCDD’s best work (like the Core Principles for Public Engagement and the Engagement Streams Framework) and helps you navigate a range of other great resources available to you on the topic.
Created to supplement our 2010 events, this resource guide was developed to share stories and resources with the dialogue and deliberation community, public managers, and anyone else with an interest in public engagement. It’s a must-have resource, and people even told us it was worth the cost of registration! Download Here: NCDD 2010 Resource Guide on Public Engagement |
