The Bridge Alliance
The Bridge Alliance exists to upgrade our democratic republic. We do so by serving organizations and citizens who are uniting Americans across the political divides to increase civility and collaboration. It’s members include pioneering organizations that have collectively spent hundreds of years connecting Americans who disagree with each other yet are working together to make the best decisions for their communities and our nation. While some Alliance members are focused on state legislatures or the US Congress, others are focused on businesses, universities, and neighborhoods. But all have in common a commitment to working together for collective impact and increased visibility for all those who want to strengthen the common ground on which the United States of America depends.

Everyday Democracy
Everyday Democracy has more than 25 years of experience offering structured dialogues to help communities work together to solve problems and build greater civic involvement. Our process incorporates use of a racial equity lens and other principles, including involving diverse groups of people, especially those who have been marginalized; opportunities for authentic listening and sharing; building capacity in communities; and connecting dialogue and deliberation to action and change. We offer discussion guides in how to use our process on issues such as poverty, police-community relations, racism, education reform and more, and how-to materials and coaching in our process for communities and organizations. Having seen the power of authentic connection among diverse groups of people, we cultivate community leaders and institutions to champion and carry out this work. We also convene practitioners from various fields to build a common vision of a democracy that works for everyone.

Co-Sponsors
The Interactivity Foundation
Through a facilitated small-group discussion process, the Interactivity Foundation works to improve the quality and increase the quantity of public discussion by engaging citizens in the exploration and development of contrasting possibilities, or broad directions, for longer-term public policy. In partnership with other organizations and individuals, their work is focused on three, complementary, and often overlapping discussion formats. Their longer-term “Project” discussions engage selected panelists in developing multiple contrasting possibilities for their discussion guides. Their shorter-term “Public” discussions use those guides or other materials as starting points for further citizen engagement, exploration, and development. They also work with educators and students in classrooms, online, and other settings to support student-centered discussion and learning. They are a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-advocacy organization. Visit their website for more information or to download any of their discussion guides or other publications.
