The Resource Assistance for Rural Environments AmeriCorps Program is now accepting member applications for the 2024-25 service year. RARE AmeriCorps Members serve for 11-months in rural Oregon communities where they get to take on meaningful and impactful projects, chosen by the communities themselves. Project areas broadly fall under community and economic development, environmental and sustainability planning, and food systems. The application deadline is Sunday, April 28. Our members assist communities and agencies in the development and implementation of plans for achieving a sustainable natural resource base and improving rural economic conditions while gaining community building and leadership skills.
