Developed in collaboration with six global participation technology experts and incorporating feedback from diverse users and developers, the ratings strive to foster accessibility, inclusivity, and security within digital participation platforms. The latest edition of People Powered’s Digital Participation Tool Ratings goes live today! Watch the recording here.  Find the launch recording available in French, Portuguese and Spanish.

The ratings provide an expert evaluation of the world’s leading digital participation tools in one convenient place. They’re designed to help democracy practitioners, from government reformers to civil society organizations, find the best tool for their context.

First launched in 2021, the ratings are now in their third version, with new platforms, an improved methodology, and a new way to browse them on Airtable. We developed this resource with the help of a global committee of six independent participation technology experts and input from hundreds of users and platform developers. 

Based on our findings, we also provide feedback to the developers so that they can improve their platforms and make them accessible, inclusive, and secure.
