Better Together Film Festival: Bridging Divides for Unity and Understanding

Throughout the week of April 15-21, 2024 - as part of the 7th annual National Week of Conversation - community spaces across the country will participate in the Better Together Film Festival. Part of the #DisagreeBetter campaign, the Better Together Film Festival aims to promote unity and understanding through nonpartisan films that showcase stories of bridging divides. Hosted by various community spaces nationwide, these screenings will be followed by facilitated discussions to encourage dialogue among diverse audiences. Shifting Our Culture Toward Cohesion
Throughout the week of April 15-21, 2024, community spaces across the country will participate in the Better Together Film Festival. Serving as hosting venues for film screenings and follow-up conversations, hundreds of libraries, museums, community centers, churches, colleges, etc. will help bring together diverse groups of people to view films that showcase hopeful stories of bridging divides. Audiences will be invited to engage in facilitated conversations following the screenings. 

These nonpartisan films were selected for the Better Together Film Festival because they inspire hope and exemplify how everyday Americans and leaders can find common ground and understanding with each other, despite their differences.

Bring the Film Festival to Your Community!
Any public or private venue interested in hosting a screening of one or more of our festival’s films is invited to participate as a Hosting Venue. We recognize libraries, museums, community centers, universities, city halls, YMCAs, etc. often have facilities that can accommodate a film screening and audience conversation, but we are certainly not limited to those types of venues.
