Participatory Budgeting Project (PBP): Advocacy Manager
The Advocacy Manager reports to our Co-Executive Director of Programs, works closely with our Programs team, and is responsible for educating people about Participatory Democracy (PD), including Participatory Budgeting (PB), and supporting them as they consider whether PD is a good fit for their context. This includes building and managing relationships with local leads and with national/international partners to offer the support needed to get processes approved or expanded.
You are perfect for this role if you’re passionate about and committed to equity, community, and relationship-building and skilled in training and educating partners. If you share our values of striving to bring people together across differences and support them in learning from each other, troubleshooting around ways to build support for innovative practices, forging new bonds, and working collaboratively to achieve shared goals, we encourage you to apply! The position can be based anywhere in the United States, if you are interested and able to work from home with occasional travel to deliver trainings or engage in planning with other PBP colleagues. Learn more about the position here!
