Next Wednesday and Thursday, September 28–29, from 10 am–4 pm EST MetroQuest will host a Conference on Virtual Public Engagement for Transportation Planning. The Conference on Virtual Public Engagement for Transportation Planning (VPET) is a two day, virtual deep-dive into the current landscape of digital community engagement. This peer-to-peer forum is an opportunity to connect with industry colleagues, learn from top practitioners and case studies from around the country, and take part in defining the future of public engagement. This year’s theme is The Future of Public Engagement. We have Keynote speakers including Dr. Shawn Wilson, President of AASHTO and Secretary at LA DOTD, and Theresa McClure, Transportation Strategic Communications Director at HDR. Some of our sessions include a panel from Texas A&M Institute and Texas MPOs; case studies from notable agencies, such as NCDOT’s LRTP work that engaged 3 million people statewide; MoDOT’s equitable outreach designed with people-first inclusion, Broward MPO’s out-of-box engagement with local business leaders, and more!
