The JAMS Foundation and National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM) are pleased to announce the 2024-2026 funding track of the Community Mediation Mini-Grant Program. Violence Intervention: Violence in our communities, aggravated and amplified by the pandemic, continues to grow to epidemic proportions. Trauma and hate speech resulting from tensions between social groups and contradictory policies among different levels of government require the engagement of Community Mediation Centers that can initiate, facilitate and raise the level of connection among those organizations working to address these issues. The focus of this funding cycle will be to support local communities in developing comprehensive approaches to preventing and responding to hate-driven violence, to strengthen existing violence prevention ecosystems, and to link this work with similar or complementary efforts to address hate crimes and violence, both in their service area and nationally.
