Analyst, Dialogue and Engagement (APSA, Gr. 7)

The Coordinator, Dialogue and Engagement supports the SFU's Morris J. Wosk Centre (Centre for Dialogue) social enterprise, which conducts citizen and stakeholder engagement on behalf of government clients. The role manages the design and delivery of dialogue and engagement projects at the Centre for Dialogue, including the operations of the Projects Team. The Coordinator oversees the completion of major engagement deliverables and maintains infrastructure and planning tools across the Projects Team.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Arts, Business, Communications, Social Sciences or another relevant discipline, and three years of relevant experience in consulting, public policy, planning, project management, communications, public engagement or similar fields, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Ability to manage smaller projects and/or major deliverables for larger projects, including financial management.
• Good skills in dialogue, public engagement, facilitation, or other relevant subject areas.
• Good skills creating effective and accessible English communications (written and verbal) for diverse audiences and in different formats (reports, proposals etc.)
• Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources.
• Ability to network and build relationships with a high degree of professionalism.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritize project completion by deadlines.
• Ability to use standard office and communications technologies.
• Ability to maintain neutrality in political environments and engaging across diverse world views.
• Ability to exercise mature judgment, diplomacy and discretion, and to maintain confidentiality.

Coordinator, Dialogue and Engagement, (APSA, Gr. 6)

The Coordinator, Dialogue and Engagement supports the Centre's social enterprise by helping to implement stakeholder and public dialogue engagement initiatives on behalf of government clients, as well as support other dialogue and engagement projects at SFU's Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue. The position is responsible for the delivery of stakeholder outreach activities, research and authoring sections of documents. The role oversees the work of students and volunteers. The Coordinator's key functions include servicing government clients through the Centre's social enterprise, supporting capacity building programming, assisting in the delivery of dialogue-based programming, and enabling collaboration between and across Centre programming.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Arts, Business, Communications, Social Sciences or another relevant discipline, with one year of relevant experience in consulting, public policy, planning, project management, communications, public engagement or similar fields, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
